Queen Kapiolani Hotel - Resort Description
Queen Kapiolani's motto in life was, "Kulia i ka nu'u," which
means "Strive to reach the highest"…the goal at the Queen
Kapiolani Hotel.
The Queen Kapiolani Hotel, named after the beloved wife of
Hawaii's last reigning King, is a true Waikiki landmark. Located on
the serene eastern end of Waikiki, the Queen Kapiolani Hotel pays
homage to Hawaii's majestic heritage, present in the numerous works
of art adorning the lobby and common areas. Built in 1969,
the Queen Kapiolani is ideally located near the foot of the Diamond
Head Crater and just a block away from the sandiest portion of
Waikiki Beach fronting the Kapahulu Pier. Directly across
from the hotel is the 108-acre Kapiolani Park, a gift from her
husband King David Kalakaua and named in honour of the Queen
herself.
Stunning views of Diamond Head and Queens Surf Beach can be seen
from the comfort of the newly refreshed rooms and suites enhanced
by modern Hawaiian décor. Enjoy an afternoon dip in the
swimming pool or just sip a cocktail while lounging on the
renovated pool deck. A variety of shopping, dining and
entertainment venues are all within walking distance of the
hotel.
