Wailua Falls is just a step off the beaten path. This breathtaking trail delivers not one but two cascading streams, side by side, outpouring an immense 60 metres of gushing H20. Don’t forget your swimsuit, as you’re welcome to swim in this delicious pool of rainwater where you’ll likely dive beneath a rainbow to the soothing sounds of crashing water.

Climbing down to the pond can be tricky and is not recommended for small children. But if you can make it there, it will be one of the best experiences of your trip to Hawai’i and, possibly, your life! If you do plan to swim, leave your valuables at the hotel.
